Our chemists developed two wax pattern cleaners PC 205® Pattern Cleaner and PC Green as environmentally friendly alternatives to the solvents previously used to etch pattern waxes for the investment casting process. Etching the wax pattern prepares the surface for slurry reducing surface defects due to poor slurry adhesion.
Customers using PC 205® have the option of sending the product to the Westech lab for testing to assure the highest level of purity and strength is maintained throughout the life of the product.
PC Green is a non-toxic and environmentally-friendly Westech innovation. The water-soluble wax pattern cleaner replaces solvents containing fluorocarbons and cleaners that have high VOC. PC Green also removes silicone and provides the needed etch on the wax pattern surface to promote excellent adhesion of the primary slurry.
